I had to lengthen slightly the slave cyl. pushrod - the one supplied by Smitty was not long enough for some reason, and I had a similar problem. Made up a new one about 1/4" longer. Others have shim

I think Smitty's setup works fine out of the box for the BJ8, but those of us with the older clutches have to make adjustments. Now that I've got mine squared away, I'm a promoter of the setup. Plan
