I had both the master and slave cylinders replaced last month and the trans hasn't shifted right since. In first gear with the clutch fully in, the car wants to move slightly forward and the shifting

That could be caused by a cylinder diameter mismatch (the master is too small for the slave), but first, how far up from fully depressed is the friction point (where the clutch engages in earnest)? -

Either you have air in your system (and you have to bleed it out), or the master cylinder is a brake master from a BJ8 which has a smaller bore. If you have a BJ8 brake master you can tell because i

We're talking 1/8" increments. If you can get your calipers in there, that will give you the diameter. My replacement (cast iron) clutch master cylinder actually has the diameter (5/8") stamped on a

Silicone fluid can be harder to bleed and get all the bubbles out. Maybe needs another good bleed, can be especially harde with a new cylinders and having to work all the air out. Greg

If you have a BJ8 brake master by mistake on your clutch master, all you have to do is put a magnet on it. If it sticks, it's the wrong clutch master (BJ8 master is made out of cast iron). It should
