- It seemsto me that I had this problem when there was a leak in the connector hoses between the manifold and the carb balancer. Ran a lot better after I replaced them. Ned Paulsen 60 BN7

- Usually you will find that a "misfire", backfire (noise) during de-acceleration based activities will be an exhaust leak. A similar noise on acceleration will be an intake system leak. Hope that help
