I'm rebuilding my 69 MGB and am going to need to bore my cylinders. The cylinders have already been bored .030 and I'm wondering about going to .040 or even .060. I see Moss has pistons that are.060

I don't have the specifics, but the 1950cc oversize pistons are substantially larger than +60 over. The B series engine is usually ok at +60, which is why the piston is supplied. I did have an engin

Gregg, I've asked the same question here before. The reaction was mixed. The 1950cc engine is an 83mm bore. which is considerably more than .060, if I'm not mistaken. The pistons for sale by Moss and

.040 isn't a problem, ever. .060 probably isn't a problem. .080 and .100 should be sonic tested first, and you better have a good machine shop. Most MG blocks can be bored that much. The 1950 engine
