Well, I remember back when Denise Thorpe was still around. She said that when you adjust your back brakes, you just turn them clockwise until you lock up the brakes, and then back off 4 flats, right?

I had some trouble with my back brakes locking up on my MGA. Came to find out that the differential oil was leaking into the brake drums via a bad seal, which is a fairly common problem on A's. Check

Hmm, book says that the shoe pads cannot be cleaned once they get oil on them. I guess that this is because the pads are of porous material. You'd never be able to get all of the oil out. The oil is

When your rear brakes are oiled, your front brakes will lock in a panic stop and the front will dive more in normal braking. Adjusting the rear brakes will not change brake bias. The design of the hy

I don't think brake cleaner will work on those shoes, once they get oil soaked they are ruined. I'm not an expert, but as I recall, the oil loosens up the shoe lining and makes it soft, kinda like wa
