If the oil has been on the pad long enough for the pad to soak it up, then alcohol will only clean the surface and not remove the oil within. Better be safe then sorry... get new pads. Andrew Griffit

Bill The rear brake springs do have to be on the correct way. 1) the top spring, with the offset, needs to clear the axle. 2) they do belong on the inside of the shoe. Make sure the shoes are in the
