a thought on this. ocasionally rear wheel cylinder pistons get literally stuck. and at amusing times without any forewarning the break free and will yeild an odd "pop" kind of sound. my '60 saab race

If the fluid was low, you may have knocked the little proportioning valve or whatever it's called in the brake line junction tee. I usually get rid of those tees and go back to the simple 67 brake s
