I assume that you have pumped the pedal, the accelerator pump nozzles discharged gas, hitting the butterflys with fuel and then it leaked past play in the shaft. If the engine is not running it will

yea i guess now that i look at it the gas only leaked when the engine was off. So it was from play in the shaft, and the gas wasnt being used from the engine being off. Thanks alot!! Joey Hiykel 1966
