The actual reason for this is that during idle, the low airflow doesn't do a very good job at keeping the fuel vapour suspended in the air. So fuel collects along the pipes of the intake manifold. If

About two years ago (7 - 8k miles) I re-synched the carbs on the roadster from first principles, it took an hour or more. Last year I didn't touch the carbs at all, except possibly idle speeed (both
