Does anyone know the difference by year of the gear shift lever? I thought the bent ones would fit all smoothcase and ribcase alike. I re-chromed a lever with the correct bend in it, but on assembly

was just the stick above the main big ball chromed or was the entire stick chromed end to end? if the entire stick was chromed that is your problem! chrome has made it too big to fit the intended hol

Mike they are all interchangable. Minor differences in the bend, length, and the later have the rubber break away but they all fit either tranny. Like Chuck said, did they chrome the ball? Or do you
