We have a crossflow head installed in an MGA with a B engine. Twin 45DCOEs, runs great. You can take off in second gear and easily burn rubber. The increase in raw power is unbelievable.

Okay, according to Steve Darby's website, a stock B motor, with 8.0 to 1 CR, and a DGV carb will realize a nominal increase of 3 h.p. 4500 R.P.M., and about 6 h.p. at 5000 R.P.M. This is about 6%. I

A lot of people are in the dark as to the actual horsepower that a B engine puts out. THe Factory advertises 95 HP. This is not true. It actually puts out about 79 HP. There is a difference between

You are probabley right, but, thats not what they are doing. I saw the Dyno runs on paper, and they are quoting SAE HP.
