- Here is a link to the pictures of what I had to do to the tunnel of my Bugeye to get the driveshaft to slide into the Datsun transmission. It was a last resort after several attempts to accomplish it

- I don't understand. I've done this swap on three cars (2 1275's & 1 948) and never had a problem. I wonder what's different about your car.

- Doesn't it have to be able to slide in and out easily as the suspension moves? What was binding? Was the oil seal too tight, or were the splines not meshing properly?

- Are you saying that this was all because of a floppy u-joint? If so, there are lots of ways to get around that.

- Was the edge of the u-joint hitting the top of the tunnel?
