The symbol is the logo of MWS Wire Wheels. When I asked, I was told that they were a third party company that trues the wheels before shipment; however, I now think that they are the actual builders

Visually the wire wheels are indistiguishable. It seems the general consensus on the list is Daytons are a little better, and if you get them 60 or 72 spokes they can be run without tubes if properl

At least one difference .... Due to the smaller ID if the rim, Dayton's won't fit with Alfin brake drums with the axial fins. Alfins with radial fins might be OK....dunno. Jim .
