I don't worry about shill bidding, because I SNIPE any auction I want to win. With DSL broadband connection I can make bids in the last few seconds of an auction. I decide my maximum I am willing to

I think you can set esnipe for 3 seconds. I use it for all my buying and I leave it at 6 seconds. Kirk

That is exactly what I do as well. If I win the auction, I pay no more than I was willing to spend; if I lose the auction, it went for more than it was worth to me. The whole "auction" effect is not

I use esnipe also - but all auctions on eBay are proxy bid, right? You put in the maximum that you are willing to spend and eBay bids up to that maximum point. The benefit of esnipe is that you are n

Nope, that is pretty much it. The benefit to esnipe is that you do not have to be there at the very end to do the actual bidding, esnipe does it for you. If I did more on ebay, I would use it, too.

And I find it amazing how many people snipe. I see something I want, I decide what I am willing to pay for it and bid and forget about it until I get the e-mail that says I won or lost a few days la
