- I just got it a couple weeks ago and it badly needs a tune up. I'm lousy with tune ups, so I thought I might end that problem for good.

- I have used both the Crane and the Pertronix and both work fine. The pertronix is a bit easier to install and is completely enclosed within the distributor cap. Joe

- I also just took off the old Allison (Crane) and replaced with a Pertronix Ignitor. Pretty easy. Just get the initial timing correct. Once that's roughly set it's easy to set with the timing light. A
