An amp is the amount of current that will cause a one volt drop across a one ohm load. English fuses are the same as ours. I think the confusion comes from the fact that devices running on 240 volts

Sorry, Billy, but the fuses in question are not rated at 240VAC, are they? Yes, fuses ARE rated for amps at a particular voltage. What he is looking at is what is called a 17/35 fuse which means tha
