I would guess he was referring to Loctite #271, which used to be called "Stud and Bearing mount". About the strongest Loctite, you're supposed to have to use heat to break it loose. Might be best to

"Stud grade" Loctite is merely a generic term for one of their stronger holding strengths. 242 allows the fastener to be removed. 262 is considered permanent, and requires application of heat to remo

Randall's right about the 271. Forgot that number. It's not as strong as the 262 (its breakaway strength is about midway between 242 and 262), but the fastener can be removed without applying heat. C
