As to the coil question, check a wiring diagram. The coil does not ground to anything. If you painted the mounting bracket(as it was originally) you will have no problem. The outer casing of the coil

The best place I've found to get all these types of clips is Clarke's Spares, which I believe is in Conn. His specialty is MGAs, but he makes a lot of the clips, original wire hose clamps, etc., for

Yeah, thanks! : ) The engine does leak onto the 'cardboard' on the garage floor. In 300 miles, I'm down about a quarter of an inch on the dipstick. Mostly just drips with the occasional dump. No smog
