In my experience the best way to remove them is to use an arrangement with a "C" clamp. A BFH dosen't work because the rubber absorbs most of the force but with a clamp you can load it until the forc

There's a bolt in the middle of the shock arms that, once loosened, allows you to pry the arms apart enough with a BFS or similar tool to slip in the top of the kingpin assy without too much trouble.
