- Thanks to the group for the responses, the consensus is that the filter should be more full than empty, but not totally full, and to blow out the fuel lines, which I will do. Victor Laury also sugges

- coil overheating due to a bad ballast. Gee, do I sound stupid! No, I suggesting an alternate cause for the symptoms you described as "running a short time then drying" . I have also had this happen.
