Thanks to Chris (and others) for advice on fuel pump. The one I have is a sealed unit so no chance of a rebuild. I have a spare but the lever arm on that is a different shape so that's no good either

I just looked at the new pump I ordered from Victoria British, and probably because it's an aftermarket product, there are no holes as you describe. My guess would be that your internal diaphragm is

If fuel is piddling out of that hole, it means that the diaphragm in the fuel pump is piddling fuel from the upper side of the pump (where it's supposed to ne) to the lower side (where it's not). Do
