The gearbox and overdrive call for 30 wt oil. The MTL is a 75W/80 wt GL4 gear oil that has a SAE viscosity of 10/ 30 wt engine oils. The MT 90 is a 75W90 wt GL4 gear oil and the viscosity is that of

David, from the Redline web site, they show the MT 90 as 15W-40 wt. engine oil. I've been running the MT 90 in 2 cars for about 2 years and the results are smother shifting and less noise. I haven't

I've been using MT-90 in my BJ8 gearbox for a couple of years. The only thing I noticed is that the O/D engages a bit quicker (and shifting is smoother, too). FWIW, I used 20W-50 engine oil prior to

The transmissions originally required 30 wt non detergent oil. The Red LIne MTL is a 70/80W gear oil that is has a viscosity SAE 30 wt. So it is the correct viscosity for the transmissions. David Noc
