Here's a weird one for ya. Can some gasket material actually have a "wick effect" with the fluid it is trying to keep in, causing a LEAK? I replaced both gaskets in the dual bore master cylinder on

Take the cap off the MC and have someone depress the brake pedal several times with varying amounts of force. Does the fluid level vary? You may find that the leak is actually the fluid very briefly

Have you tried to make up a gasket out of something else? I would say that sleeved MCs are sometimes known to weep fluid around the sleeve, but if you are sure you have isolated the leak to the top g

Dave I used 30# felt (tar paper) for my gasket on the master cyl. I do know that if it is too full it will leak out of the gasket or vented cap when you make a hard turn. Keep it full but not up the
