The faster the better. Go with 8" wheels. They run across the metal faster and that's the key to polishing, just like it is in cars. I use a yellow 8" buff for cutting as it's indestructible. Forget

I'm no machine shop guru, but it looks like the Baldor buffers in the Eastwood catalog are rated at 3600 rpm. They recommend a lower rpm for plastic. So if you're buffing metal, you're in business. I
