I had a similar failure of my Tiger clutch master cylinder. The snap ring was acting as the pedal-stop, and it eventually tore out the grove and the innards landed on my foot. By the way, I received

It's no surprise that you couldn't find the circlip, because these slave cylinders don't have them. As it happens, Tiger clutch slaves fit Cobras, so that's what I used the last time I replaced mine,

Thanks for the Info. Smitty tells me the same thing. He says Alpine slave don't have the retaining ring either. The slave cylinder from SS does not include a push rod assy at all. The root cause of
