Check the Motorcycle shops in your area and see what they recommend. The local Harley shop here sells some stuff by I think Bel-ray. It's cheaper than the K&N stuff. I personally use the K&N kit. FWI

You can clean them with soap and water, just don't scrub them hard witha brush or force high pressure water through them. I wouldn't experiment with the oil. The filtering and the flow capacity of th
