Hi George, May not be the problem, but this got me once. Check to make sure the distributor clamp is secure. I forgot to retighten it once, and it wiggled just enough to get enough out of time that t

Addly enough, I had these kinds of problems just before my coil went. Revved freely with no load, but had no power under load. Slowly got worse, then died. REplaced the coil and it ran fine. Mike '78
