Is this really a problem? It sounds about right for a BJ8. I think the oil pressure at idle is specified at about 25-30 PSI. The BJ8 actually runs a little lower than the earlier sixes. Did you chang

Many thanks for all your responses on this topic. I know the rocker arm wear was viewed as negligible at rebuild but the Cam bearings were not changed even though the cam was - I don't know why. I s

Paul, Could it be that the D. Welch h/c (high capacity?) pump has excessive internal clearance or is a different type pump. Gear pumps are capable of generating higher pressures than say a rotary van
