The Lucas Sport coil is for Points, Not Electronic Ignitions. Made the mistake and now have a brand new coil I don't need,Carl E.

The 40KV sports coil works perfectly with electronic ignition your problem witht the late model is you probably didn't remove the ballast resisitor that's in line with your coil The Lucas sports coil

If merrory serves me correctly Bosh and lucas coils have internal resistors, Not the sport coil though, Some Bs even have a resistor wire to the coil, I believe the idea in using the resistor in line
