I would agree with Alan, from what I have read the only time it may help is in extremely high rpm/compression situations, given that my redline is under 5000 I doubt if it makes much difference on my

I also agree; particularly with a four cylinder car where you only need 2/3rds the number of sparks per minute as a six cylinder at the same rpm. At high revs it is the coil recovery time that matter
