I don't know anything about the authenticity of the car. I read a book on the history of the 'B and one chapter was on racing. Mostly Paddy Hopkirk and Le Mans et al, but some in America. Seems that

If you look closely to the passenger rear fender, the 'Native Tan' logo is painted on it. So that seems to mean that this car did exist. That doesn't mean that this is really that car, or that it was
