I have an older Mallory dual point dizzy I'm cleaning up and inspecting. Does anyone know how to remove the points mounting plate so I can take a look at the advance mechanism underneath? There seems

Chris: I went out and looked at mine and the plate is held in place by the two machine screws that also hold the cap retaining clips (the round heads are inside the dizzy, and the nuts outside). This

I found a couple of small setscrews on mine that seem to hold an aluminym plate (under the brass pints plate) in place. I took 'em out last night, but the thing still wouldn't budge. I'm going to try
