In one of the many responses I received re: BJ8 Nuts and Bolts, one suggested Cad plating. Not knowing Cad Plating from Chrome Plating I searched the Web only to find Pandora's Box out there. I have

As I had written, I had mine Cadmium plated rather than zinc, because I had been told the Cadmium was more durable to tools etc. I don't know about tin. I'd think that a do it yourself plating opera

when having cad plating done whether barrel plating or individual pieces, be sure and have the plater bake everything according to his mil spec. this removes the hydrogen embrittlement where the nuts
