- Sounds lie the coil might be degrading with heat. A static test of the coil may not show a fault. I would suggest replacing the coil with a known good coil. Alan S HBJ8L/34297

- a static check on the coil is insufficient. It is better to get a new coil (they're cheap), put it on and see if iut fixes the problem. I always carry a spare coil in the boot anyway. It sounds like
