I purchased a digital multimeter....the Actron"Auto Troubleshooter" (model CP767) and it is not happy under the hood of my car (65TR4A). The display goes haywire under the hood and gets progressivle

You don't say what plugs you're using but I think if they are not resistor plugs (often end with the letter R) they may be a possible source of the problem... they certainly affect my AM radio but wh

Mike, I'm a frequent advocate of cheap DMMs, and I practice what I preach. I've never had one "go haywire" even laying on the plug wires on my TR3A. IMO, your meter is bad. It wouldn't hurt to check
