- john, in my experience helping my friends work on thier mini trucks in my early days, cutting coil springs to lower the ride height of the vehicle results in a ride not unlike that of a sherman tank

- It's pretty easy (even for a liberal arts major) to calculate the effect of cutting coils off a spring. Not only does cutting the coils lower the car a bit, but it increases the the effective spring
