You are correct, the GT6 was a hard top deritive of the Spitfire. In a sense, there is no GT6 convertable, as the Spitfire is a 4Cyl. However there have been many Spit/6 conversions done to fit a GT6

There is a very slim chance that it was built by the factory but I think it is likely that somebody is pulling somebody's leg. The GT6 roadster was never a production model but should have been. Ther

As I understand it, the usual procedure is to put Spitfire body panels on a GT6 chassis, which gives you the GT6 drivetrain, brakes, springs, etc. Otherwise you end up with a big motor in a car not d
