- With key on, open and close the points... you should hear or see some sparks at the points. ... if not, check the LT lead esp. the rivet for the wire on the white plastic bit... they've been failing

- The question is do you have spark or not? If there is no spark you need to look for 12 v. at the batt. side of the coil. Also inspect the connection to the breakers. I had that fall off one time whil
