I have not found anything more reliable than the Mallory Dual Point. It is simple (remember KISS) and my dyno testing has shown it makes as much power as an MSD box. I have gone thru 2 Pertronix unit

At the Mitty, my newly restored TR4A had a new Accel 300 ignition setup with matching coil in it. It was triggered by a Mallory dual point with just one set of points as it was used as a trigger only
