Hi Tracy 2 choices: Weld up the oblong holes; and then redrill them round so the new clevis pin is a snug fit, and grease it. Alternatively - buy new rods, and grease the clevis pins before fitting.

Funny thing, when I first got my BJ8 these holes were still round but all of the pins were worn out... it seems they used softer metal on the pins than for the metal fork.... do you suppose that was
