Went to change my oil today, and when finished, kablooey, new oil all over the place. I found the culprit at the valve cover. About 3 inches of gasket on the left side had squirmed inside the cover,

A) All the 'B' series use the same rocker-cover gasket, most often a CORK one. Quality varies though, and I use the THICK ones sold by UNIPART, ( Rovers own spares department,) and most of our UK MG

To add to the valve cover replies - I use the standard cork gasket. I make sure the surfaces are clean and smooth on the head, and clean on the valve cover. Then I put a very thin layer of gasket sea

answer to question 1... I use either blue or gold RTV gasket stuff. Do not let it set... because it wont seal correctly. it would just make a smooth surface against the head. It's got to be not-dry s

I had the same problem with Moss valve cover gaskets. I cut about 1" out of mine and used some Permatex Aviation seal to glue it to the valve cover. Haven't driven far enough to see if it's going to

I bought a valve cover gasket at the local NAPA store, slapped it in, no leaks . . . . My minivan, on the other hand, is a different ballgame . . . Gary 74B On the Road!!!
