My Mk3 Sprite came with a 1275 from (I think) a '67. It has no PCV valve (though one came in a box of parts) and no tube coming out of the valve cover, though the oil filler cap is vented. The timin

Definitely! My leak got much better when I hooked it up. No, I don't think so. The stock setup is air goes in through the vented cap, through teh engine, out the oil separator and into the manifold.

Hi Jeff, After some good discussions a while back with Pete S., I think the best way to go is with a vented cap. You will still have a vacuum when there is good manifold vacuum, and you'll have a ven

Ditto what Ron said. Too much PCV makes smoke out the tail pipe. I just do the trial and error sizing.(stick a smaller hose in the original hose or stuff a nut in there to restrict it.) -- Frank Clar

On My 1275 I ran a hose from the seperator to the "Y" between the carbs. So air goes in the cap vent, through the engine, out the seperator hose, to the carb. works great, No pvc ! john.kahoon@juno.c

That is the correct setup for the later 1275s that don't have the external PCV valve. Ulix Ulix __/__,__ ___/__|\__ ..............................................(_o____o_)....<_O_____O_/... '67 Spri
