Did you let the silver dry before overnight before hitting it with the clear? But I use Krylon metalic finish, it's not aluminum, more of a silver and the clear changes it to just about the right col

I might scuff with scotchgard pads after the base thoroughly dries before shooting the clear? The metalic element in a silver should be minor enough to allow for this. This is what I typically do on
