I've run Mobil 1 0/50 Synthetic in Spridget gearboxes and if my Spridget had an original fit box rather than the special 5 speed in it now (which uses synthetic gear oil) I'd run Mobil 15/50 (not bei

What Paul said, Kirk.... While I am sure you can use synthetic oil, the synchros most likely will not be as effective as they would be, considering the box was built with petroleum based oils in mind

Filling the smoothcase isn't that bad. First the bolt you are talking about goes to the rear tranny mount. You can pour oil in there all day and never fill the tranny or the tunnel as it will all end
