My MG B GT has no aerial installed for the radio.. I've looked to mount one on the front passengers side wing - but there is no access to the outer wing! ie I could drill a hole through but not get a

I assume you are talking about the front wing. My B has an antenna = located several inches in front of the base of the windshield frame. = Inside the wheel well is a removable panel, held in place

I had the same problem with Tintin. Since I didn't know how to get access into the fender (I hadn't done much with the car up to that point) I decided that I liked the placement of the radio antenna

You can access the fender (wing) enough to install a aerial. Just forward of the firewall, on the inner fender is a "cutout", big enough to get your little hand in. It's a bit fiddley but can be don
