Hi Doug, Much as I beleive in re-conditioning parts I wouldn't re-condition springs. If the steel has lost its compliance it isn't going to get it back unless there is some sort of heat treatment tha

Roger that Daniel. I remember an old blacksmith that used to weld a bead along the inside face of the spring to "recondition" it and return its curve. But I can't imagine that this would be worthwile

The Spring shop did something like this to my A40 leafs. Now they clunk when you hit a bump. The leafs are slapping against each other. They used teflon or PVC spacer washers, they did not line each
