- Roger that Daniel. I remember an old blacksmith that used to weld a bead along the inside face of the spring to "recondition" it and return its curve. But I can't imagine that this would be worthwile

- The Spring shop did something like this to my A40 leafs. Now they clunk when you hit a bump. The leafs are slapping against each other. They used teflon or PVC spacer washers, they did not line each
