Is there a trick to pulling the wiring for the turn signal and horn back into the stator tube? I pulled a string up through when taking off the control head assembly but can't get the wiring to start

The connectors should be at different lengths of wire so they can be inserted single-file like. that's the only real "trick" to it.

The string approach works. I have done it in as little as 2 minutes or as little as 2 hours! Can be real frustrating. If you wish removal of the bullets will work. As Rick noted the lengths of wires

I used a thin guage of wire (utility type, not electrical) wrapped around the trafficator lines to pull the wires back through the stator. You can pull on wire harder than on string, and as I recall

Several replies say it is easy enough to pull the wires through the stator tube if the bullet connectors are staggered. Well, mine were staggered and no matter how tightly I taped them together, the

I would agree with Steve on this. I just went through this on my car. No amount of taping, staggering, or anything else would work for me. So I cut 'em off and resoldered them. Heard Saxon '60 BT7 E

Thanks for all the input. Finally unsoldered the tips and redid them after pulling the wires. Even then it was not easy. Felt like there was a catch fairly high up in the stator tube, possibly the en

That shoulder you experienced is the end of the stator tube. The tube from the traf slides over the stator tube so when you try to run the wires down they hit the stator tube end. Takes a lot of fid
