I was under the impression that the Spit Rack was quicker than a GT6 rack and now I'm struggling to remember where I read that. Let's see, owners manuals 69 GT6+ 4.25 turns Lock to lock? Bentley P 57

Here's what else I can find so far of the cars using rack & pinion delivered to this country (Steve's figures for the cars above are correct, best as I can determine): Stag: 3.00 TR4: 2.50 TR4A: 2.50

I checked the rack out and it is "toast." The steering shaft that operates in the housing is bent an inch or more. I will be searching for a new /rebuilt RHD unit.................Wismer

Can the rack tubes be worried out of the casting and swapped to MAKE a RHD unit from a spare LHD? It doesn't sound like Triumph would do special castings for each side. << I checked the rack out and
