- How much oil is correct in the HS2 dashpot? I think I over-did it causuing the piston to rise too slowly.

- That's the whole idea, the oil dampens the piston so as to increase fuel to air ratio. As far as filling goes I fill to almost the top of the piston and it seems to work just fine. Hope this helps. D

- This is how the SU carb gets an accelerator pump action. When you accelerate, the dampers cause the mixture to go temporarily rich, same as an accelerator pump. It's not very critical as to viscosity
