Actually, we have built in circuitry beginning with Cubes built after Jan 2000 to detect a low battery condition. Currently only the PC side of the software detects this however. When detected, the P

I downloaded a run from my Palm today and I got the following error message: "Sampling Rate Failure- one or more seconds in which the sampling rate fell as low as one per second." Any one know what t

The GEEZ Palm recorder tracks it's own sample rate to ensure that things are running appropriately. Generally, as a Palm gets more and more fragmented in memory usage, the sampling rate can begin to

One other thing to look out for is the fact that Palm apps are not preemptively multitasked (though the OS itself is.) What this means is that if one of the buttons (silk screen or physical) gets pr

I hadn't realized that. But it does seem that there is a noticable performance increase for heavily used Palms if you do a hard reset and then resync, which I had always attributed to fragmentation.

You are right, it was probably a momentary disconnect. Normally I keep the cable attached to the Palm with rubberbands, but yesterday I didn't. Cable probably wiggled. Subsequent runs did not have th

Thanks, I'll get a fresh one tonight. Maybe there should be a low battery signal, something like a flashing light. Hint, hint, Byron <g> Steve Hudson I floating read first problems.
